Hoppy Easter!

 This year first grade held their Easter egg hunt on the school playground and had a great time!  Lots of colorful eggs were hidden and adorned the playground.  Excited students scrambled to find as many eggs as possible!  After a mad dash and hunting all the eggs in record time, cute Easter bunny cookies were eaten as well as  lots of the treats in the eggs.  Everyone had a wonderful time and the weather was perfect for our hunt.

Love is in the Air!

First graders celebrated the month of February "loving" everyone and everything about Valentine's Day!  Lots of "I love You" notes were written, drawn and passed around to others.  We decorated sacks with red hearts and put them in the hallway and peeked daily to see how many cards we had received!  The anticipation for the arrival of February 14th seemed even more grandeur than Old Saint Nick's visit!  But, indeed the big day did arrive and the first graders had a wonderful time at their Valentine party reading their special cards.

Welcome back to school and to the New Year...2012!!! Our class celebrated with hats, beads, and new resolutions!  It was fun returning to school and seeing all our friends and talking about our Christmas break.  Hope everyone is able to keep all those resolutions!  Happy New Year!
