Back to school and the daily grind!

Wow!  It's hard to believe that we nearing the end of the 4th week of school!  Our class has settled in to our daily routine and we have had a fun, busy few weeks.  Our day starts out with our morning math meeting.  We are learning about the calendar, the days of the week, months of the year, counting, sorting, shapes, and reading graphs.  In reading, we continue to practice sight words, decoding words, and reading decodable books.
We reinforce these skills with our work stations.
Rylan filling out his reading log.
Joseph and Ethan listening to a book.
Michael and Savanna learning word parts.
Addison and Breanna at the magnetic letter workstation.
Payton reading on a Leap Frog.

Ephrian on the computer.

Aubrey and Emily using word boards.
Our class is also pleased to have Mrs. Kara Slaggle Loftin as our student teacher.  Kara is a Seymour native and will graduate this December from Midwestern State University. Mrs. Loftin is a great teacher and we are happy to have her teaching in our class!
