Ag in the Classroom... October 14, 2011

Seymour Elementary welcomed the Texas Farm Bureau "Ag in the Classroom" program.  Students were able to witness how milk is pumped from the cow.  And right on cue, the milk delivery truck arrived and left the cafeteria our milk!  So, students saw part of the process of how we get milk from the cow to our tables.  Pretty cool!  First graders were also given a free carton of chocolate milk to drink at recess time.  Thanks Oak Farms!

Students also learned about the different ways animals and crops are used.  Not only do they provide food for us, they are also used in many of our everyday products.

It was a fun and great learning opportunity for everyone involved!
