Fire Prevention Program 2011

   Fire Prevention week was October 10-14th.  Students loved watching "Sparky's ABC's of Fire Safety" and did various activities to reinforce safety rules.  They also learned several songs about fire safety and performed them at the academic pep rally.  Seymour Elementary has also participated in fire drills and will continue to practice drills throughout the year.  
   The Seymour Volunteer Fire Department also sponsors a fire program and fire safety poster contest.  All students draw a picture depicting a fire prevention safety rule.  The winners were recognized at the program.  Their name will be put on a plaque and displayed in the halls of Seymour Elementary.  From Mrs. Gregg's class, Rachel Davis received 2nd place.  Congratulations, Rachel!
